Greetings All.

  First of all let me congratulate everyone on our fourth anniversary as a room. Last week we celebrated our fourth month as the Cozy Cafe. As you see, we continue to grow here in the CC and as we do we try to make adjustments which we (founders) feel are necessary to insure the quality of our room. It has been brought to our attention that many of the new faces who have joined us are not familiar with the rules of the CC and would like a copy of those rules ( refer to our Rules webpage ).

It is unfortunate that we have to have rules, especially when they reflect what many feel is just common courtesy that we all apply in everyday real life. But, as we have all seen, sometimes people think they can act differently in IRC. In the Cozy Cafe we apply real life rules.   These rules will not change. If anyone has a problem with them, they should choose another channel which may better suit their needs. These rules simply reflect the way in which we who have founded this room would like to see it run. That simple.   Now, onward to other happenings in the CC.  

First of all many have asked about Mazin and her daughter and how they are doing. Mazin and her daughter are still in the healing process and seem to be making progress. For those of you who wish to send her a note please do so at [email protected]. Also, Denum another one or our close friends is also recuperating from a two week stay in the hospital and now is back home. We all here at CC wish both speedy recovery.   Several other items of importance which need to be mentioned. A webpage for the CC is now being considered and our friend Tazmania has offered to help put this together. We will soon be asking all members here for input as to what they would like to see on the webpage. Several of us are checking out webpages now from other rooms to see what may apply to ours. Also in addition to the webpage we are also going to have a CC email address. This email address can be accessed by all members of the CC and it will be a good place to send suggestions or ask for technical help. We are trying to insure that all members here have access to each other as well. To do this Missi has taken it upon herself to compile a complete listing of members email addresses and also home addresses and telephone numbers of members who chose to have them listed. This list will stay in Missi's possession only and if someone wishes to contact another Missi will pass on the information. No personal information will be given out without your permission.   Also, since we are such a diverse group here in the CC we are thinking of asking folks here what their interests are. Several of us are avid readers and exchange not only reading suggestions but also send books to each other. We are trying to take advantage of the fact that we have such a large international family here and encourage exchange of ideas and information. This information could also be used to help us layout the webpage.  

We are also soliciting from members any other useful information which we can share. This includes free download programs from anything to the new digital mirc program to security programs which will help us protect ourselves from nuking. So, if anyone has any good suggestions let us know. We also would love to hear from members anything they would like to see addressed in our future newsletters. After all this is OUR newsletter so anyone having any ideas let us know.  

Again good people...GREAT JOB! It won't be long till our next anniversary party.
